Dr Laurence Williamson

Passionate about oral medicine, Dr Williamson co-founded one of the first French practices dedicated to this field in 2017, after a rewarding hospital and university career in France and Asia.

In 2024, she developed her skills in management and business law at IFG and Paris Sorbonne University. This double master's degree was validated internationally with a thesis defence at Stanford University, California.

Dr Sandra Zalinski

A qualified specialist in oral medicine, she helped develop care for people living with a disability in a hospital setting before co-founding, with Dr Williamson, one of the first dedicated practices in the private sector.

Together, they founded IMDEx to share and raise the standards of special care dentistry.

What is oral medicine?

Oral medicine, also known as special care dentistry, is a specialty focused on caring for patients with specific needs: people living with a disability, dependent older people, or patients with complex medical conditions (long-term or disabling illnesses).

This “holistic” approach takes into account the unique challenges these patient groups face, in terms of physical access to care as well as communication and pain management.
