Dr Laurence Williamson,
moving forward and taking on challenges
Doctor of dental surgery, qualified specialist in oral medicine.
Former assistant at Nantes University Hospital.
Qualified since 1994, she completed the university diploma in implantology in Nantes at the end of her studies, while taking up a post as hospital-university assistant in the oral surgery department of Nantes University Hospital.
At the same time, she works as a general dentist in private practice.
Until 2008, she alternated between private practice and teaching at the University Hospital and in the private sector for the company Zimmer.
In 2008, she moved to Cambodia with her 3 children and worked exclusively in paediatric dentistry in a humanitarian setting (treating children who were victims of violence).
From 2009 to 2012, she moved to Hanoi, Vietnam, and worked as a general practitioner for the French Hospital of Hanoi and SOS International.
Laurence returned to France in July 2012 and took up a post as a hospital practitioner at Angers University Hospital where, starting from general practice, she gradually moved into oral medicine, training in maxillofacial prosthetics, the use of MEOPA (nitrous oxide/oxygen) and medical hypnosis.
In 2016, together with Dr ZALINSKI, she decided to create a private practice dedicated to oral medicine, attached to a clinic that enthusiastically supports the project.
To meet the needs of these extra-ordinary and complex patients, she also trained in orthodontics and keeps her knowledge up to date so as to offer patients a comprehensive approach to their needs.
In 2022, the lack of adapted facilities in France prompted the two colleagues to act, and Laurence decided to undertake a series of business training courses in order to create the company IMDEx (International Medical and Dental Expertise).
To this end, she obtained an MBA in “medical project creation” from Harvard Medical School in 2023. She also trained at IFG Paris Sorbonne on two Master 2 programmes in managing people and professions within organisations, entrepreneurial management, business and employment law, and governance, which she completed in May 2024.
In April 2024, she validated this double qualification internationally by defending her placement thesis at Stanford University, San Francisco.

Dr Sandra Zalinski,
tenacity and high standards
Doctor of dental surgery, qualified specialist in oral medicine.
Expert witness at the Angers Court of Appeal.
In the 2000s, newly qualified, Sandra ZALINSKI left the Paris region and settled in Angers.
She contacted the UFSBD because, in her view, prevention is essential: it is the foundation of dental practice.
Also passionate about surgery, she joined the University Hospital to complement her initial training and learn from the hospital's oral and maxillofacial surgeons.
Sandra Zalinski became a dental surgeon and qualified specialist in oral medicine. After 10 years in public hospital practice, she bet that welcoming patients living with a disability was possible in a conventional private practice and, together with Dr WILLIAMSON, developed a practice offering care equivalent to that received by non-disabled patients.
She constantly strives to meet needs that cannot be met in a conventional city-centre practice.
Committed to a comprehensive approach to the patient, and therefore to a comprehensive answer to their problem, she trained in particular in functional orthodontics and oral implantology.
In 2023, the two practitioners created the company IMDEx, whose mission is to support fellow practitioners, train them and enable them to welcome extra-ordinary patients with confidence and professionalism.
